«Birdsongs» are interdisciplinary art projects and concerts with birds (ornithology) as the thematic starting point. Field recordings, migration patterns, behavior, and environment are some of the aspects she has delved into, leaving a mark on the projects.

In collaboration with artists, musicians, institutions, and with guidance from experts in ornithology and art history, she has since 2015 created several concert projects, installation works, site-specific pieces, as well as relational and interactive art projects.

In 2021, Runesdatter developed and led an extensive interdisciplinary art project at Storhaug School, spanning six months and in collaboration with several professional artists. Through the art, the children explored birdlife and nature in their local surroundings, creating their own texts, sound compositions, sculptures, and dance. The project was inspired by the birds’ movements, their environments, and vocabulary, and influenced all school subjects.
