Catherine Lamb is one of the most sought-after composers of her generation. She explores the mathematics of harmony through the physical, material world. Through musical constructions, she connects the sonic with the tactile and visual. She investigates the interplay between tones, the summation of forms and shadows, phenomenological extensions, the architecture of the space between the inner and outer, and elongated introductory sections… We find her music both deeply theoretically grounded (Tenney, Amacher, Grisay, et al.), immensely fascinating, and with a strong spatial presence.

Silvia Tarozzi (violin) and Deborah Walker (cello) are among the world’s leading and most virtuosic musicians in this genre. Both are Italians living in France and Germany, and they have spent over 20 years immersing themselves in various microtonal projects, including works with so-called psychoacoustic properties. We have previously collaborated with Silvia and Deborah on commissioned works by the French composer Pascale Criton, as well as partially improvised concert pieces by composers such as Pauline Oliveros (USA), James Finney, and Christian Wolff.
